Chiropractic in Australia.
Question: Do I need to get a referral from a GP (General Practitioner) to see a chiropractor?
Answer: No, just call to make an appointment.
Question: How much will I get back from my private health cover?
Answer: Different plans will rebate different amounts, anywhere from one third to five sixths of the cost of a treatment. Check beforehand with your private health care provider.
Question: Does Medicare cover chiropractic?
Answer: Unfortunately not. However, most private health cover plans will cover chiropractic.
Question: Will Medicare one day cover chiropractic?
Answer: Hopefully that will happen. Given the growing popularity of chiropractic and acceptance into mainstream science, it is possible that it will occur someday.
