The ancient Chinese were incredible observers.
The system of medicine that developed over the last few thousand years owes much to this attribute. Although this page will not go as far as a full explanation of this system of medicine, its strengths are its holistic approach in understanding connections between symptoms that western medicine considers to be of little relevance, as well as understanding the close association the mind and the body share.
Western science has assisted the development of acupuncture with its understanding of the nervous, endocrine and other circulatory systems.
An integrated approach combining these two systems of medicine offer both the specific targeting of western science with the holistic considerations of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
A typical session may consist of Acupuncture, cupping, gua sha and massage.
